RE:     2023-2024 Season Introduction

Thank you to everyone on your participation and patience with the start of the HHS Ice Hockey Team 2023-24 season.

Please see below the schedule for the week and other matters concerning the team.

·         The players have worked hard in our team training in September and October in anticipation of the season.  We have introduced many new concepts that are part of our fundamental approach to the team.  We are prepared.

·         This is the final week of Captain’s Practices before we start full team practices on October 31, 2023 at 4:40PM.

Practices – we will have bus transportation for Tuesday & Thursday and no school transportation on Wednesdays.

Games:

We are still working on our home Mentor game which was in conflict with the Shaker Tournament.  We should have that confirmed this week.

We will distribute the game schedules for the tournaments as we confirm them.

·         For this week the schedule is:

o   Monday – 4PM-5:30PM – Dryland at 1668 Norton Rd. Stow, OH

o   Wednesday – 4PM-5:30PM – Captain’s Practice – KSU Ice Arena

o   Thursday – No dryland;  Don Patron Fundraiser

o   Friday – HHS home football game – concession volunteers needed

o   Saturday – 8AM leave HHS for 9AM – 11AM –  Chair-ity Team Volunteer Event–Details below:

Chair-ity is a Cleveland based charity that provides furniture to foster children who are reaching adulthood and no longer in the foster care system.

2 PARENT DRIVERS NEEDED

SATURDAY CHARITY EVENT 

Date & Time: October 28, 9 am-11 am

Location: 2201 W. 110th St, Cleveland 44102 (Building says University Tees on it, there is a door that has a Chair-ity sign that is where you will enter. Please text or call me when you arrive so I can let you in 330-814-1056)

Attire: Closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, our space can sometimes be a little cool or warm depending on the weather so I advise wearing layers)

Parking: there is a lot across the street from the building

Chair-ity provides and delivers donated household furniture and goods for emancipated young adults and their children as they age out of the foster care system and begin independent living. This is a local charity started by a young woman at the age of 16.
